In the past, the dumbwaiter was for luxury homes only to transport items for kitchen and dining use. Today, luxury has taken a backseat to practicality by moving groceries, laundry, luggage, files, etc., in even in modestly priced town homes.  They take up little space to install and save on time and effort. Today's dumbwaiter can be ordered a la carte, depending on its intended use. Select sizes from a standard 24" cube and maximum weight capacities increasing from as little as 75 lbs.
